New-born babies are presented with a Forshaga teddy as a symbol of security. We have a special Young Peoples centre, which aims to help young people find a leisure activity that they can enjoy. A lot of young students come to the Forshaga Akademin where they study fishing, game preservation, sport and leisure retailing or dog sports.

Forshagas location, close to both the countryside and the town, with good bus communications and just 15 minutes from Karlstad airport, is attractive for both businesses and private individuals.

It is called “Klarälvsbanan" and it is used by walkers, cyclists and skaters. All of them appreciate this car-free track through the beautiful countryside. We are more than happy to tell you about life alongside the Klarälven river, especially our fishing history and our log-floating era. There are no problems filling your time with cultural and outdoor activities. There is accommodation to meet every need, a lively business culture, an 18-hole golf course, hiking trails, lakes and ski trails. We even have Father Christmas here all year round...
